Class Schedule and Description

What we offer:

All our tailor-made classes are designed for a minimum of 15  hours  language training a week, so that you may fully benefit from your immersion programme. Anything less, especially for short stays or beginners, is not nearly as effective.

Your course includes your own private bedroom, full board, 15 hours tuition and 3 general/cultural activates per week.  You will also receive our Grammar survival guide, An E- book on expanding your vocabulary and a  follow-up progress-  report.

Under 16 year-olds  attending small-group courses who are not within easy walking distance to the home- tuition residence will be picked up and dropped home every day.

One-to-one private

You’ll stay in the comfort of your teacher's home, receiving personalized attention to meet your exact requirements. This course is particularly helpful for those of you with specialized-subject needs, or if you simply prefer that one to one focus.

Two-to-one Semi-private

It defeats the purpose of language immersion if two students of the same nationality, who wish to attend a semi-private class, are placed together in the teacher’s home. Here at Home from Home, we are unique in offering our semi-private students accommodation in separate host- homes. One of these host- homes will be the designated tuition centre, where you meet for morning classes together. We do our best to ensure that your host families, especially for semi-private classes, are within walking distance to each other. If not, and if you are under 16, you will be picked up and driven to class daily.

Small-Group (Max 6)

Many students have experienced overcrowded language schools, being accommodated in one host family with students of the same nationality and leaving having spoken little or no English. This inspired us here at Home from Home to offer small- group classes and hold them in the far more comfortable and homely environment of your host-home.

Not everyone thrives in a one- to- one classroom situation.  Some may find it too tiring or even demanding and they may feel more comfortable in a small group, where the attention is shared and they can also enjoy the company of their classmates. Role-play activities, discussions and debates bring this little group to life.

With a maximum of six students per class, Home from Home is, once again, proud to offer the same unique opportunity  of students being in separate accommodation and meeting in designated home/tuition centre for classes every day. Again, if your host home is not within walking distance and you are under 16, you will be picked up every morning. and driven to classes.

In the classroom:   This applies to all our courses.

With our , tailor-made,  15 -hour weekly program, you will be focusing on your speaking and listening skills, working on your pronunciation, reviewing your grammar, learning new vocabulary- building techniques and improving your reading and writing. To help you along, you will receive a complimentary E book on vocabulary building and our very own, tailor-made,  Home from Home English Language survival guide. During the week, you will be involved in mealtime conversations with your host family, watching movies together and getting as many opportunities possible to practice your English.

Small- group for Specialized Courses:

Depending on the booking, these group classes will incorporate all of the above and also focus on a specialized subject as requested.  We cover exam preparation for IELTS , CAMBRIDGE, TOIC, TOEFL and PREPA. Our specialized English can cover anything from aviation to zoology!
